Scheduled on November 7 to 13 of next year at the Montgomerie Maxx Royal, golfers from all around the globe will surely be pleased with what Belek can offer, from its finest golf courses to many other enchanting spots. The tour serves as a prelude to the DP World Tour Championship to be held in Dubai which is also the final stretch of the next year’s European Tour.

Montgomerie Maxx Royal measures more than 7,100 yards. This par 72 course is said to be the most difficult course in the country since its opening in 2008. The challenges set by the course layout has been tested and proven by the many travelers who have chosen Montgomerie to be their golf holiday destination. Different landscapes like tree-lined forests and sandy seaside comprise the course’s 260 acres of expanse.

The Turkish Golf Federation and International Sports Management (ISM) aims that the major tournament will attract more tourists and golf travelers toward Turkey. The 2013 European Tour will serve as an avenue for more and better exposure of the different golf travel destinations the region has to offer.

The Managing Director of ISM, Andrew Chandler said, “This is just a great move for Turkey. This tournament ticks a lot of boxes for Turkey who are really driving towards a bid for the 2020 Olympics. Hosting big events like this tournament can only help that strategy and to be able to announce a three year deal for a $7 million tournament is a very rare thing these days. I’d like to thank Ahmet in particular because he has been the driving force behind this.” Chandler is also a former European Tour Professional.
