Nicolas Colsaerts Chases PGA Tour Card

nicholas colsaertsNicholas Colsaerts is now a strong player and may be the first Belgian golfer to receive a PGA Tour card. The chance of bagging the much coveted card is happening at the CordeValle Golf Club in San Martin, California for the Open.

Given the titles, the Belgian Bomber and the Muscles from Brussels, who would have thought that this player had nowhere to play golf four years ago. Having undergone “midlife crises”, his mind became unfocused and was reflected through his ruined games. So many things had happened in the life of the then young man. After which, he lost his privileges for playing in the European Tour and the Challenge Tour.

Well, not any more. The 29-year-old golfer is all set to fulfill his duties for the PGA and European Tours from now and onwards. He submitted himself in the International Golf Academy to prepare for this moment and trained with other aspiring golfers who were much younger than him. He underwent the process of regaining his focus and skills for the game.

Colsaerts recalls, “When you look back and you see where I was, I’m just the perfect example that if you want something really bad and you put your work into it, if you’ve got the heart and the passion, anything is achievable. It’s almost like I feel like I’ve come back from the dead … … I’m kind of proud of my story.”

Now, he is all set to achieve the best person and golfer that he can be.
