Golf Equipment Forecast for 2013

With just a quarter left until 2012 becomes over, anticipations and speculations keep on rising as to what comes next in the golf equipment industry. Golf equipment manufacturers usually launch new line of products around the end of January in time for the National PGA Convention but here is a strong forecast for next year’s new line of golf equipment.

TaylorMade may probably launch an improved version of the ‘R’ driver. Their latest driver, the R11, could be followed by an R13 which may sound as unlucky number for some but with TaylorMade’s clever marketing techniques, they can turn the ‘unlucky’ concept of number 13 into a lucky and profitable one. The company may also come out with updated versions of their fairway woods and hybrid line, the RocketBallz.

There will be a new product line of drivers, fairways and hybrids by Nike Golf. In fact, we can foresee two new lines: one line for the low-score playing golfers and another line for the high-scoring players. A new equipment will be launched to augment the corresponding skills of each player. Adding world number one golfer Rory McIlroy in the roster of the company’s endorsers will also boost the sales and prestige of Nike Golf.

Callaway is anticipated to release an update to their booming driver line, the RAZR-Fit. With several colors to choose from, the new drivers are foreseen to combine the sporty and fashion sense of the golfers. They will also release the X Proto Hybrid which has been used and tested by Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els in this year’s PGA Tour.

The AMP Driver of the Cobra Golf is expected to be overtaken by its updated version, the AMP Cell Driver. With four different colors available in the market, the AMP Cell Driver also features a wrench that can be adjusted to vary the loft angles from 8.5 to 11.5 degrees. Another product from this company is the Cobra AMP Cell Pro Driver which features an adjustable loft angle from 7.5 to 10.5 degrees and an upgraded tour-level shaft.

Having all these in anticipation, to experience the 2013 line of golf equipment is indeed exciting.
