Mickelson and Singh Ties for the BMW Championship Lead

The BMW Championship is all set for its final round at the Crooked Stick Golf Club with an all-power cast of 11 professional players including major champions and a number of former world number ones, running towards the final hole.

The previous round ended with four-time major champion Phil Mickelson sharing the lead with former world number one and three-time major winner Vijay Singh. Mickelson shot 10 birdies in 8-under-par 64 while Singh battled well throughout the 36 holes making him the outright leader but struggled in three out of four initial holes, bogeying the final hole ending with a 69.

The two players also fought against Rory McIlroy and Lee Westwood who were both one stroke behind the winning spot. Westwood was a former world number and so is McIlroy who also had won two major championships. Another stroke behind them are all tied in the same spot: Robert Garrigus, Dustin Johnson and Adam Scott, who almost bagged the 2012 British Open.

Fourteen time major tour winner and also former world number one Tiger Woods was three shots behind the winning spot and was ranked 8th. He recovered well from three bogeys on the front nine and ended with a score of 71 but was a little short to bag the title. Next on the ranking are Zach Johnson, Graeme McDowell and Bo Van Pelt. Johnson and McDowell are former Masters and US Open Champions, respectively.
