Tiger Woods was Too Relaxed

Tiger Woods’ mental behavior affected him much that he lost zest and focus in the recent USPGA Championship especially in the last two remaining rounds.

Formerly the world number one and the highest paid athlete of the world was joining the lead until halfway of the competition but gave not-so-good 74-72 shots near the end of the closing rounds. The tournament at the Kiawah Island was also affected by the weather closing with Tiger being 11 shots behind Rory McIlroy.

“I was right there … but I came out with probably the wrong attitude yesterday. And I was too relaxed, and tried to enjoy it, and that’s not how I play. I play intense and full systems go. That cost me. I putted really well today and had the speed good. Unfortunately, I just didn’t give myself enough good looks,” said the American professional golfer who is a four-time winner of the USPGA Tour.

Tiger also paid tribute to the 23-year-old Rory saying, “He’s very good. He’s got all the talent in the world to do what he’s doing. And this is the way that Rory can play. When he gets it going, it’s pretty impressive to watch.”
