Luke List: Fearless Golfer with a Purpose

The 27-year-old Luke List is indeed a fearless golfer but with a purpose. Topping the Web.com Tour money list and guaranteed to be in the top 25 with all the remaining nine tournaments, he is earning a 2013 PGA Tour card for himself.

Being the longest hitter at the Web.com Tour, List is a name to watch out for in the next year’s season of the PGA Tour as he tries to seal a spot. “To stay out there on the PGA Tour, I don’t really look at it like that. I’m not afraid of losing my card. I’m just looking forward to competing for championships out there.” List said.

The very competitive List said, “No. 1 is a big deal and that’s what I’m chasing. I’ve always felt my game is suited for the PGA Tour. I love the atmosphere. I love the fans. That’s the pinnacle of golf for all of us and we’re chasing it. I feel good about the progress I’ve made this year and I’m looking forward to next year, moving up to the next level and getting out there on the big tour.”

Averaging a score of 71.97 per 18 holes, he still holds the lowest career scoring average for the last 20 years of Vanderbilt where he is also a consistent and model alumnus. List’s first winning professional tournament was at the South Georgia Classic and he currently holds the record of being in the top 10 for six times and finishing second place thrice.
