Golf Tour for Free

Hope4Heroes is an organization which aims to support combat veterans and their respective families by providing scholarship funds and on-the-job training programs. Conceptualized in 2007 by a retired veteran Victor Luebker, the organization was formally established in 2009.

Hope4Heroes gathers support from different ways and one is through free golf. The free golf program allows groups of four to play at any golf course across the country including PGA courses and resorts. Minimum donations are to be doled out while the participants can choose to give donations on a per-hole or per-round basis depending on the course they choose.

Luebker said, “They can play any course, anywhere and at any time. It’s ongoing.”

A national golf tournament is also sponsored by the organization to complement the free golf program. The tournament features free tournaments and events in the different cities across the United States. The first of which for this year will be held at Duran Golf Course in Viera, Florida come September 28. This free tournament is part of a year-long thrust towards a total of one million playing events.

“It’s our official public coming out,” said Luebker who is also encouraging his fellow veterans to support and join the tournaments and participate in the free rounds of golf.
