Facts on Lee Westwood’s Golf Equipment

Have you ever wondered what golf professionals have in their golf bags? We followed world number 3 Lee Westwood after his dramatic victory in the Indonesian Open. And here is a look at his winning tools:

Westwood uses a Ping G15 driver with an 11-degree loft and a quarter-inch Aldila VooDoo BV6 X-flex shaft. His fairway wood is a Ping i15 3-wood with 15.5 degree loft and UST Proforce V2 72 gram / X-flex shaft. Also in his bag is a Ping Rapture V2 hybrid club fitted with an Aldila NV75-gram X-flex shaft.

His irons are Ping i10 models with 2.25 degrees upright and fitted to stiff JZ Cushin shafts. One of his wedges is a Tour-W 54-degree model bent to 52.5, also from Ping. He uses another wedge, a 58-degree model also from Ping and a 35-inch-long Ping putter. He prefers to use the Pro V1x Titleist golf balls.

These clubs are what you can find in Westwood’s golf bag. After winning the Indonesian Open, his first win for this season, Westwood is all set for more challenges in his professional golf career. He bagged the same title in the 2011 season, winning by two shots against Thaworn Wiratchant of Thailand.
